I’m Linh and I also go by the name Rita. I love Physics, macaws and Japanese culture.

When we were planning our trip to Singapore, I – a bird enjoyer – just knew that I had to include Bird Paradise in our itinerary. My first impression was that it was way bigger than I thought, and it was definitely a huge upgrade from Jurong Bird Park. I took my time strolling around all of the areas, except for Lory Loft, I just somehow don’t really like them. That being said, I think I spent most of the time staring at the macaws at the Crimson Wetlands. Macaws are no doubt my most favorite animal. It is physically impossible for me to express how much I love macaws in a few sentences, so maybe that topic will be put off for next time. I think I started liking them about 7 years ago when I visited Jurong Bird Park with my mom. Back then, I liked parrots in general (I still do now), which made Parrot Paradise a must-go for me. As I was wandering around in that area, I spotted two Spix macaws, which I heard was being borrowed as a conservation effort while raising awareness. Their feathers were beautiful and eye-catching, and so I fell in love with them. That’s how the story of my huge interest in macaws began, and it can only grow as time passes.
